The White House recently announced the cost of at-home COVID-19 test kits will be covered for our members, effective on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Sanford Health Plan is here to help our members stay safe and healthy. Beginning on January 15, 2022, Sanford Health Plan members may purchase FDA-approved COVID-19 tests at any location where tests are sold and submit a form to Sanford Health Plan for reimbursement. Members can submit claims for up to eight tests per person per calendar month. For more expedient reimbursement, members may submit one form per month rather than separate forms for each test purchased.

COVID-19 diagnostic tests ordered by your provider and performed by a laboratory will continue to be covered at no cost to members.

Medicare members will receive tests through HHS. HHS is providing up to 50 million free, at-home tests to community health centers and Medicare-certified health clinics for distribution to Medicare members.
